✨ A must-visit for all martial arts and wuxia lovers!

Join me on a one-day pilgrimage to South Shaolin Temple (Nanshaolin) in Quanzhou, Fujian — the legendary birthplace of Southern Kung Fu and a living symbol of Zen and martial arts unity.

📍 Trip Highlights

1️⃣ South Shaolin Temple (9:00–17:00)

Nestled in the Fengze District, this ancient temple blends Zen calm with martial spirit.

Spot the famous inscription “弘扬少林 (Glorify Shaolin)” by Jin Yong, the iconic wuxia novelist. Visit the Zen & Kung Fu in One plaque — a core of Shaolin philosophy. Explore the History Hall, where rotating panels tell the temple’s legendary story. If you’re lucky, you might even catch monks training at sunrise.

2️⃣ Wenwu Creative Street (文武坊文创街)

Just outside the temple gates, this lively art street mixes traditional design, teahouses, and Shaolin-inspired crafts.

It’s slightly touristy, but perfect for souvenirs and a peaceful tea break.

🍜 Don’t Miss: Try the vegetarian noodles before leaving — it’s part of the true Shaolin experience!

💬 For those who grew up reading Jin Yong’s wuxia novels, visiting South Shaolin feels like stepping right into the martial world itself — a true Kung Fu pilgrimage.
