After yesterday’s intense hike at Nanjishan, I decided to take it slow today — a lazy half-day in Ningde with sea views, cityscapes, and a calm coastal breeze. 🌿
📍Tashan Park
Just a 10-minute taxi ride from downtown Ningde!
It only takes about 10 minutes to reach the top — Ruyi Pagoda, offering panoramic city views. Compared to Nanjishan, this was pure relaxation — only about 100 meters of elevation, and you can even choose between stairs or ramps. Easy, breezy, and perfect for beginners!
📍Jinshetou Village
A trendy little fishing village just 15 minutes from downtown. The “I ❤️ Ningde” sign marks the entrance, and the whole village feels peaceful and photogenic.
Most shops open in the evening, but visiting in the afternoon was perfect — soft sunlight, lazy seaside vibes, and a quiet charm. It’s a great place for photos, slow walks, and café hopping.
📍Jinshetou Pier
At the end of the village lies the pier, where you can catch morning or evening ferries to Sandu’ao Bay. I missed the boat, but that’s fine — traveling isn’t about rushing.
I just leaned on the railing, watching egrets on the tidal flats and fishing boats resting at low tide. Locals were setting up stalls for the night, chatting as they worked.
There’s even a rail track over the sea, and if you’re lucky, you might see a train passing — like something out of Spirited Away.
Before leaving, I stumbled upon a local temple festival celebrating the “Sea Patrol General’s birthday” — a lucky and lively surprise that wrapped up this relaxing Ningde afternoon perfectly. 🌅
