Welcome to Wenzhou, a city full of stories and light. 🌞

I had no plan for the day — just wandered around — and somehow ended up at Wuma Street, one of the most famous and beautiful old streets in Wenzhou.

It reminded me of Nanjing Road in Shanghai, but softer, slower, and more local.

The Baroque-style buildings from the Republic era glowed under the afternoon sun, their walls full of stories from another time.

Here’s what I discovered 👇

🐎 Five Horses Sculpture — The landmark of Wuma Street. Under the sunlight, the bronze horses look like they’re galloping in motion — a must-see photo spot.

🏮 Chan Street Archway — With the “New Guoguang Building” nearby and the distant Jingguang Tower from Songtai Mountain in view, the street glows at sunset.

🏛️ Baroque Buildings — Each corner feels cinematic. In daylight, they shimmer gold; at night, they glow softly under the lights.

🎭 Old Opera Stage — Ancient stone carvings meet modern shops — a mix that perfectly captures Wenzhou’s spirit.

📍 Location: Wuma Street, Lucheng District, Wenzhou, Zhejiang

🕰️ Hours: Open all day

💡 Fun fact: The name “Wuma” (五马, Five Horses) comes from the legend that calligrapher Wang Xizhi once rode here — the road was wide enough for five horses to run side by side.

🚶‍♀️ No trains, no rush — just walking, filming, and following my own rhythm.

Sometimes the best way to travel is to simply let your steps decide. 💭
